The voices become more distant and fade into nothing, as the darkness gives way to sunshine.
“Please, do not force me to go. Let me remain here with you.”
“You will have to go back eventually. It is your duty Mya. Your people need you.”
“But I need you. And miss you so. Can I not just stay for a little while, and we can be happy?”
The man gives a small nod, “For a time.”
