Was asked by a couple people how I prepare for invasions, so figured I would look for a folder on invasions, have not found one, so here it goes.

First, a Dreaven-ing would save you a lot of time and effort, but since you cannot plan on that for invasions.

Self cast all known spells, ranger and minor spirit. Use blessing and summoning enhancives to squeeze out any boosts from Lore possible.

I like to keep a sack on hand for emergencies. Fendryl Ranger Invasion pack

3 chisms minimum
1 white flask
(if you do not carry herbs, this is a good spot to toss in the ones to stop bleeders)

Ask a friendly ranger to imbue some rods.
Ask a friendly wizard to imbed some rods. Raise active for longer duration per raise

I skip the minor elementals, strength, blurs, and thurfels as they are usually easy to acquire.

Rod 1, 905 Prismatic Guard
Rod 2, 507 Elemental deflection
Rod 3, 508 Elemental Bias

Ask a friendly Bardess to sing to gems, acquire and save orbs.
Ask a friendly cleric to Bless gems with the following, Raise activate for greater duration.

orb 1, 202 Dim
orb 2, 207 Purify air (longer duration self cast and stacks)
orb 3, 211 Bravery
orb 4, 303 Prayer of Protection
orb 5, 307 Benediction
orb 6, 310 Warding sphere
orb 7, 313 Prayer
orb 8, 319 Soul Ward

Many monk/paladin protection spells were available at various merchants.
Add in if you have them. I use the following from scrolls or EG heart/ether

Paladin base
1601 Mantle of faith (or ask one to cast it on you)
1605 Arm of the Arkati
1606 Dauntless

Monk minor mental
1204 Foresight (or have a monk cast them)
1208 Mindward

Scrolls are useful as well. They can replace those blessed stones, items above if you have them.

Sorcerer
712 Cloak of shadows (short duration, but lets face it, cool looking spell)

I am sure there are many other options, please add in your good ideas below, thanks.

Invasions are the easiest times to get spells. Find where people are gathering and most of us spend a ton of mana giving out spells.

Know your PC stengths. If he is fro t lines fighter join a group. Is he better at sneaking then many scouting. There is always a need for pick ups of bodies or healing. Find a niche you can fill.

Learn how to use tree tops and rooftops if you are too low a level. If you dont ask around…or maybe i will run a town defense class.

Carry healing herbs. Never know when the group healer will buy the farm.

Lastly bless your weapons. Occassionally GMs will mix in undead and you dont want to be prepared

Yeah…like helpful soul golems. Haha. Ended up having to kill them because of the fear mechanics.

At least it wasn’t Luukos’ avatar. I do believe absolutely everything within a one square mile radius would have died…
