Okay, I’ve spent some time today working on a way to exchange your item (the large-eyed purple dove charm) if you’re unhappy with it. These changes will be live shortly (within the next hour or so).

You have two options.

You can TOSS the charm and get a hawk charm instead. It will be a crested hawk charm. It is the same scripted item, but it has some message variations for the hawk setting. Hawks whistle/chirp instead of coo and swoop instead of flutter or flap. It’s not much different, but it’s a different style of bird that I don’t believe was offered at all yet.

You can BREAK the charm for a 4x RPA orb (a shimmering violet orb). These work just like the others, and they are not attuned.

Both choices are permanent once you make them, so be sure you are 100% positive you’d like to do this.

We apologize for all the mishaps during the creation, delivery, and missteps for this year’s Goodie Bag. We’ve learned a lot from it.

Annnd it works! Evidently I only needed a little showmanship:

You exclaim, speaking to your purple dove charm, “Poof! You are a hawk!”

You ponder toss the purple dove charm into the air.
[Doing that will permanently change a large-eyed purple dove charm into a crested hawk charm. This action is final and there is no going back. If you wish to do this, TOSS the charm again in the next 15 seconds.]

You decide to toss the purple dove into the air, which coos happily. As it descends back toward you, a crested hawk charm swoops in and devours the innocent dove. It discards its remains like trash midair as it stares you down. The hawk appears very territorial as it lands in your hand.

Thank you guys so much for the turnaround on this one. I immediately felt bad after posting over in the bad’n’ugly folder, but the sentiment was for reals. I wish it weren’t though because I never want to come off as one’a them dammed ungrateful entitled subscribers- but that’s the first cincher, in that this whole sitch was about something not covered by the monthly sub cost.

Tge second and final was, to be honest, were the recycled item have not come after a four month wait, I probably wouldn’t have given it a second thought- or if it was a previous year’s item, like the weather charm or water ring. It was the wait that really did it in.

Like I said in my initial post, I as a subscriber and con attendee really, seriously appreciate the work you guys do and this whole thing doesn’t change that.

Ditto. I’m satisfied with the resolution on this and I may in fact give the ornery hawk to an alt. I look forward to the return of holiday cheer, and also look forward to attending the ‘con next year.

So could I get last years charm altered to that and then break it?!
