MechSpinner Update – April 2026

UPDATE: The MechSpinners from Rumor Woods 2024 got a few updates, and a better analyze. Note the new APPROVE command with it that spins only the people in the group. Details:

The Rumor Woods 2024 vault item is getting a few updates. During our bug fix month, I was investigating a bug that could happen with SPIN on these, and realized I never pushed out the updated ANALYZE to them.
This is a special item from Rumor Woods 2024 Tourney Vault. The BREAK verb can be used to permanently destroy the beetle and make an exp orb that is character attuned.

The beetle has the following verbs:

LOOK – Check status of the beetle.
WEAR/REMOVE – Show off the beetle.
SPIN – Select a random person.
COVER – Reset who was selected.
LISTEN – Get a list of who was selected.
APPROVE – Switch SPIN to select only those grouped.
This only works if the spinner is the group leader.

For the new grouped ability, it must be the group leader who is using SPIN. Hopefully this can make them a bit more useful with how people zip in and out of rooms.

LOOK, SPIN, and APPROVE have all been updated (or added).

This update will be live this afternoon.
