So, now that I’ve had my fun, I can go ahead and make this post to reveal that which I’ve been teasing (and I’ve been soooooo excited to do so!)
Releasing this DR, is the new wood material, fyrswn’ava. It is an aelotoi-cultivation of the crape myrtle tree and produces sap flares when crafted into runestaves, bows, or shields.
These flares are tiered. At the base tier, Sprite’s Kiss causes physical conditions against a target, either rooted or blinded, if the flare hits the target’s eye. The upgraded tier, Amber Grave, pairs a mental condition with the physical: either terrified, confused, or clumsy.
The material’s base enchant is +20, and will be available for purchase in The Celadon Thread.
Special thanks to GM@Ethereal who suggested the tiering and the mental effects AND coded this wonderful idea for me to release. He’s a real one.

Transmutes should be in HESS
Upgraded Tier can flare both kinds in one strike
This is a material flare

The flare needs to hit the eye or head, not the initial hit of the attack, same as other flares.
It does work on barrage. I’m still confirming on volley.
GM Ethereal with the corrections:
1) It’ll blind if the flare hits the eyes or head (so slightly better odds)
2) The thing has to have eyes or a head to blind. Otherwise you’ll get one of the other two effects.
More pedantic updates as they occur.
Alterration options? Just saw this. There is not. The mundane equivalent is crape myrtle (as the tree), but the wood is called pyinma.
