Updates to Disintegrate (705) – July 2024

UPDATE: GM Tago announced updates to Disintegrate (705): 1) Two bonus damage for non-corporeal undead and creatures under any status conditions. 2) Wider range of damage bonus. 3) Updated “various bits melt away” message on something DEAD. 3) Bonus cycles will now apply to non-corporeal players (via symbol of transcendence). Disintegrate (705) now grants 2 bonus damage cycles for non-corporeal undead and any creature under any status conditions (up from the previous 1 bonus damage cycle). This is another change within the sorcerer review (design proposal at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vFQcOJVAVCMLnXD8UksBBxgFJDJE4xMVXCdVmxXPFBk/edit).

I also made some other minor updates while I was in there:
The bonus damage cycles do the same amount of damage as before, on average, but there’s a wider range of possible outcomes now.
The “various bits melt away” message will no longer have a chance to show up after a creature is already declared dead, which isn’t entirely wrong but never seemed to flow quite right to me, either.
Bonus cycles will now apply to non-corporeal players (via symbol of transcendence).
