ASCENSION PREVIEW: GM Naijin discussed the eventual Ascension Hunting Ground “Carrot” feature on Discord. It’s in development. He tossed out a disclaimer and a caveat that this is going to take a long time to finish, but it’s the closest look we’ve had!

Naijin — 12:39 AM:
It’s a unique way to improve your character that you can only get by hunting in Ascension areas.

Leafiara:
Will there be a daily/weekly/monthly cap on the carrot or are we just gonna grind like there’s no tomorrow?

Naijin:
There’s no cap presently.
They even come with a new disclaimer.
No refunds or do-overs unless it’s the direct result of a bug.

It’s not as bad as it sounds. You’re thinking TPs.
It’s because all the upgrades will be done with in-game loot.
You’ll have to put in time on the character to improve. No buying them from other players and skipping to the finish line.

Gillien:
like reimbux currency
except not like reimbux because with reimbux you can buy the item and sell that

Naijin:
Or we could just use silver. Since it exists already.

Naijin:
I’d love to give out more details but without the latter half of the system ready it’s a bit too early. The latter half is the hard part.
There will be rerolling. It’ll be very expensive.

There are charms you can acquire/find/purchase in Ascension areas that will provide unique enhancements for your character. The only way to acquire these enhancements is to play your character. They can be equipped, removed, upgraded, rerolled, deconstructed, etc… for a (large) fee. There you go. They will not be available at pay events and there will be absolutely no refunds or do-overs unless it’s the direct result of a system bug.
There’s a whole lot more to it but that’s a summary.

I have no idea when the system will be ready. It’ll probably be a long time.
