A Stab In The Dark

STORYLINE-WL: Councilor Leafiara writes to tell Mayor Thadston and Guard Captain Thrayzar of the visit from Falzcrow with information about the recent abductions. The new Krolvin Warlord Tyrrax is now in possession of information from a years-old Praxopius plan about a formula to destroy the Krolvin race. Tyrrax’s force is sailing to the Landing and expected Friday evening, at the earliest.

Mayor Thadston and Guard Captain Thrayzar,

In case you haven’t yet been informed, our old ally Falzcrow has come forth with information about the recent abductions. New krolvin warlord Tyrrax has somehow gotten word of Praxopius’ stated intentions in late 5118 to deliver a formula to our own Xorus in late 5120, which would apparently be capable of eradicating the krolvin race and potentially half-krolvin along with them. Xorus says it never arrived, which seems credible to me.

Nonetheless, all that matters is that Tyrrax believes the formula is here. Falzcrow has relayed that Tyrrax’s ships are sailing toward us as soon as this Eve of the Huntress. Our town is well-versed in battle preparations and will need to assemble for that. Falzcrow has expressed willingness to meet with any town leaders to talk further and he at least has limited knowledge of the fleet’s movements and warlord’s characteristics, which could be helpful if you’d like to arrange talks.

The second reason I write to you is in hopes that we can find the formula. We know next to nothing about what we’re looking for nor where, but… Thrayzar, the Alchemist unfortunately had taken you for a while, so I’m wondering if you might have seen, heard, or know anything about the possibilities of how he would have delivered such a formula.

I’m pressing social circles in case anyone has seen anything, but an unusual means of delivery might jog memories of those that are currently coming up empty-handed. Or maybe it never arrived at all. If the delivery was as mundane as a courier, the timeline could have seen it lost in the earliest conflicts with the grey mercenaries. If the delivery was magical, then any of the phenomena in this area that Praxopius couldn’t have foreseen–the manafires, the blight they suppress, leaks of the shadow realm into ours–could have disrupted its arrival, depending on the method. Any details could aid the search.
