Wyrom Answers CCF Questions about Briar Flares and Greater Ora Weapons

Wyrom has some details about those Briar Flares and Black/White Ora that will be sold at #CCF on Saturday. Maybe you can use your own weapon, maybe perfect forged ones. No UAC for Briar Flares.

Originally we were going to make it where you had a weapon created. But all of these are set up in a way to allow you to add it to your preferred weapon. Understand, if the item is already scripted or has inherited properties that don’t mesh with the service, it won’t work. White ora and black ora need to be that material. Briar doesn’t have a material requirement.
If you don’t have one to supply, one can be made, but it comes pretty plain.

I don’t see why not. That is SUPER easy for the GM to do too.

Questions:
1 – Can I take a player-forged perfect white ora weapon and turn it into an Iasha? And if I did, would it still have the forging bonuses? 2 – At the Festival of the Fallen there was a raffle to upgrade an Iasha weapon to T3, which included upgrading it to 6x if it wasn’t already. Does that enchant upgrade apply at CCF too?

“Auction is the preferred method to dealing with some of the highest services (permabless, spell knowledge, glamour tattoo, defusion, coraesine, briar (tier 3), weight reducing, etc). Reserves (which will be the MB) will be 100m to 300m depending on which.”
Well Krakii, looks like you could still get a chance of a lucky win on body features. You could get your body features changed to look a destitute person.

Briar doesn’t have a reserve set.

Sure.

I believe so, but I’m not 100% sure.

I am curious were more things switched to auction for this event due to the passing rule or is that coincidence?
Maybe it was always that way?

It’s always been that way. Raffles would be problematic with the surcharges. Say you enter a raffle at 10am for something that draws at 5pm. During the time between you entering and the drawing, you win 2 services. The raffle draws and you win. Now you’re at 3 services and owe 125m surcharge. You can’t afford it and are forced to forfeit the prize. That’s not going to leave a good feeling for you, you’re going to feel that you didn’t realize the raffle distribution method would have the surcharge, and it’s going to create a sour situation. It’s just not a good method for this event.

Hi, just wanted to put in a hopeful request… normally I wouldn’t do this right after an event since I know the GM team must be crazy exhausted, but since apparently someone (or someones!) in dev is already looking into making the Iasha and greater black ora scripts compatible with UAC and runestaves, I figured it’s timely:
Can the Iasha script be adjusted so that, like greater black ora, it still leaves the flare slot (category B) open?
