Subj: Sargassa's Herbalist Updates Prices in Solhaven

Duvernith of the Mercantyler’s Guild in Solhaven was seen in North Market tonight and made the following announcement, “We have been working closely with our well known empath Sargassa and her assistant Kelph to secure them new supplies of herbs to sell here in Solhaven. With these new suppliers, they will be able to substantially reduce the prices at which their herbs are sold, something I am sure all those who frequent the Free Port will be able to enjoy.”

All herbs and potions for sale at Sargassa’s shop in Solhaven have had their pricing adjusted to be in line with other locally sold herbs. No longer will these prices be insanely overpriced when compared to the Shaldya’s wagon in the Vornavian Caravanasary or our neighboring towns. These new prices are live in all instances.

I have a question.. speaking of hrbs and the NPCs

Is there a chance for the NPCs who apply herbs to heal wounds to also get rid of the scars with the correct healing herb? There have been times on a few of my toons that I get forced to be given herbs with the RT lock and while I don’t mind too much.. I’d rather they finish the job and at least heal the scars too while they are at it.

That is a much more complicated request, as that requires delving into the NPC healer code. They all operate in the same manner, which is healing your wounds, but leaving scars. Given how long they have existed in the game, I assume part of the reason is so that there is a clear incentive to prefer player empaths rather than the NPC ones. So I would say that it is foreseeable that they would remain this way.

I have always assumed the NPC healers are a bit like todays military medics, they get you stabilized so you are no longer in danger of dying, and that’s about it. Off to the doctors to get completely healed, or you take your nasty tasting medicine for anything other than the injuries. Just my take on it of course.

I can imagine that re-working the NPC healers would be a nightmare, they are very old; plus, I kind of like it the way it is.
